DEFENSIVE FUNDAMENTALS

  • WHO IS THIS COURSE FOR:

    Regardless if you are a seasoned hunter, a gun enthusiast, a grandparent, a single mother or a combat commando…this course is foundational for all who desire to own a firearm to protect yourself or a loved one.

    • Introduction to handguns, shotguns, rifles, knives & non-lethal options.

    • Introduction to ammunition

    • Weapon of choice

    • Handgun malfunctions/clearing

    • What you need to know when carrying a firearm

    • Legal use of force

    • Gun Laws

    • License To Carry (why & who it is for)

    • Self Defense Insurance (why & who it is for)

    • Equipment: holsters & all things gear.

    • Situational Awareness & Mindset

    • Home Defense

    • And More…

    • After the classroom instruction, we will spend our time on a gun range learning & implementing safe, effective, defensive handgun disciplines as the foundation for defensive handgun training.

  • We will spend a large portion of our time indoors in a classroom setting, followed by a portion of our time on a firearm range where we will practice safe live fire drills.

  • Participants must be a minimum age of 18 years old & legally allowed to own & operate a firearm in the United States.

  • We are based out of the Springfield/Branson, MO metroplex.

    All trainings will be held in the surrounding area.

  • 10am - 6pm

    • 10am — Start

    • Classroom Instruction

    • Lunch Break (30min)

    • Gun Range Instruction

    • 6pm — Dismiss

  • PUBLIC RATE — $149

    Fee covers instruction, range, firearm rental, targets, safety gear, & all required equipment (excluding ammunition). For those who will not be bringing their own, ammunition can be purchased onsite the day of the training.

    PRIVATE RATE — $50 to $500/per person

    For private trainings, actual costs is determined on a case by case basis. Factors include: size of group, location details (facility, range, etc.), specific needs and/or requests.

  • We provide discounts to single mothers & women who need assistance. As well, we provide discounts to active or retired military veterans.

  • BRING:

    • Closed toe shoes (required)

    • Water & snacks (suggested)

    INCLUDED:

    • Eye & ear protection rental

    • Semi-automatic handgun rental

    • Paper Targets (take home)

    EXTRA:

    • Ammunition is NOT included. If you will not be bringing your own ammunition, then ammunition is available for purchase onsite. Those bringing their own ammunition need between 45-75 rounds.


    FIREARM & EQUIPMENT POLICY

    FIREARMS

    • All firearms must be in good working condition.

    • Until on firing range & given permission by an instructor, all firearms must be kept unloaded and secured in an appropriate holster (see holsters) OR inside a gun case.

    AMMUNITION

    • Suggested = conventional lead core copper jacket bullets.

    • You may shoot reloaded ammo at your own risk.

    HOLSTERS

    • Holsters must effectively cover the trigger guard of your handgun & must have retention keeping the firearm secure inside the holster.

  • PRIVATE TRAINING
